Mr. Abdullah Al Mahri
Abdullah Al Mahri is currently the Director of Investments and Stakeholder Management at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE. Prior to his current role, he was heading the financial planning, budgeting and reporting activities for ADNOC’s Downstream Industries, Marketing and Trading, where his responsibilities included Corporate Planning and Financial Performance. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Control Systems. His research work utilized control, signal process and data analytics tools to develop a novel classification algorithm applied on a GE shoe scanner. To complement his career, Abdullah has also developed his skills in economics and finance by successfully completing a Chartered Financial Analyst professional certification in June of 2019. He received his B.S and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 2004 and 2007 respectively. In 2014, he joined ADNOC Gas Processing as a Senior Instrument & Control Engineer at Habshan Complex. While there he was directly involved in the control system upgrades of compressors, turbines and Fire & Gas systems and other routine maintenance activities. In 2015, he joined the Research & Technology Department in ADNOC Gas Processing where he evaluated, supported and steered a diverse portfolio of research projects within the company. He was also responsible for conducting in-house studies and assessing the economic feasibility of deploying new technologies within the company. In 2017 he was assigned as the Strategic Planning Manager for ADNOC Gas Processing, where he was responsible for Corporate Planning, cascading ADNOC’s Strategy into function specific strategic objectives, leading Strategic Studies and Stakeholder Management. In November of 2020, he was assigned as the Planning, Budgeting and Reporting Manager at the Downstream Industries, Marketing and Trading Directorate of ADNOC.
